This full-day masterclass guides you through the authentic end-to-end process: screen preparation, manual film making, sun-exposed emulsion (afdrek), and hands-on experimentation with both water-based and oil-based inks.

Curious about the craft behind manual screen printing? This full-day workshop is specially designed for beginners, creative enthusiasts, educators, and artists who want to master manual screen printing from start to finish.
Set in the inspiring green environment of Palaras Anak Alam, you won't just print—you'll understand the science, mechanics, and technique behind creating high-quality prints independently.
What You Will Learn & Do:
- Screen Preparation: Cleaning and preparing the mesh screen for exposure.
- Manual Film Making: Drawing high-opacity designs directly onto tracing paper/film.
- Sun Exposure (Afdrek): Applying photo-sensitive emulsion and leveraging natural sunlight for the exposure process.
- Washing & Touch-Up: Washing out the unexposed emulsion with high-pressure water spray and touching up minor leaks.
- Dual Ink Experimentation: Testing, comparing, and printing with two distinct ink formulations: Water-Based Ink and Oil-Based Ink (Plastisol/Solvent).
